Traditional Chinese Embroidered Olive Green Framed Silk Panel – One Hundred Boys Design

Hand-embroidered silk design on gentle olive-green silk fabric. The panel from China depicting ‘100’ children at play. These boys are riding oxen, swimming & boating, flying kites, swimming & boating, holding lanterns and having mock sword battles to name a few activities.
These panels were originally given to Chinese couples ‘ensure the family lineage’. Embroidered on gorgeous red silk, surrounded by a mixed green and blue brocade edging and border.
Presented under glass in a very high-quality black lacquer Chinoiserie shadow-box frame with traditional brass hanging fixture. The frame is superb.
No markings other than typed description on verso.
Excellent condition. Minor wear to frame.
