1960s Fine English BoneChina Serving Pieces Set of 2

For your consideration… A Pair of Serving Bowls made of very fine bone china dinnerware in England by Royal Chelsea

The “Cardinal” pattern. These pieces were produced after Royal Chelsea was purchased by Wedgwood, probably around 1960.

Very fine quality, purest white bone china, is beautifully decorated with rich gold rims and an extravagant gold filigree design with floral accents hand painted in a ruby red. The condition is mint, without damage or wear, no utensil marks nor any signs of use. Possibly dealer stock, or a wedding gift, rarely used. The borders feature a Roccoco swirl of gold vines and red flowers, and the center is sort of a Florentine style compass rose design of more gold filigree and red flowers. The gold really shimmers in the light, very hard to capture in my pictures.

It measures about 8″ diameter, stands about 6.25″ tall.
