:
Front glazed bookcase from the late Biedermeier era circa 1850-1860.
Body standing on carved round feet.
At the front we see two drawers with recessed segmentation at the bottom. Above them are the glazed doors, each with three promised filling fields.
Very interestingly, worked out as bundle pillars, the pilasters end at the bottom in the base and at the top in ornate capitals with acanthus carving.
The interior of the cabinet is divided in two by a central wall. Both sides are divided by height adjustable shelves.
The piece of furniture is fully dismountable for transportation into lower part, sides, middle wall, shelves, doors and three back wall elements.
Condition:
Restored and polished with shellac. The locks were no longer present and were added during the refurbishment.
The right outer part of the base floor was re-veneered in an older restoration, it can be easily seen in one of the photos.
