A stunning three handled art pottery sgraffito pattern vase decorated with two birds perched on oak tree branches by Alexander Lauder, Barnstaple dating from around 1890. This quality vase is made in local clay and is of bottle shape with a bulbous body tall funnel shaped neck and with a fluted rim. The vase is applied with three scrolling handles applied around the neck and is hand decorated in tones of brown, blue and green on a light green patterned ground. The vase is marked LAUDER BARUM to the base.
In good condition with possibly a bit of touching in below the top rim.
