A fine antique Chinese Hong Kong dollar mounted silver dish by renowned Hong Kong silver maker Wang Hing and dating from around 1901. The small but heavily made dish is of rounded shape with the coin forming the base. The sides made in thick silver have a simple hammered finish with the Honk Kong silver dollar mounted centrally in the base. The dollar is dated 1901 and has a worn surface to the inner dish with less wear to the base. The dish bears silver makers marks WH for Wang Hing along with a Chinese makers mark and a 90 silver mark.
The pin dish is offered in used condition with some unevenness around the edge and wear to the coin surface inside the dish, probably from polishing. Nonetheless a quality item.
