A very interesting German attributed jugendstil art pottery vase applied in relief with stylized trees and dating from around 1900. The vase stands on a narrow rounded unglazed foot and is of wide squat rounded shape with a small opening. The upper body is decorated with stylized tree designs applied in relief and the body of the vase is decorated with an off white glazed ground and over laid with colored enamels in both matt and gloss. The vase combines tones of yellow, blue, green and red glazes with most of the glazes flowed onto the vase with some irregular heaping and piling of the glaze. The vase is not marked.
In good original condition with a small surface glaze loss to the top rim.
