We also believe that this piece is an advanced version of a popular model A 524 F produced by Thonet during the 1930’s.
This particular chair is made of beech wood in a dark colour that works nicely with a light tone of a cushion. The main design feature of this chair are the dynamically shaped armrests. They show the amazing skills and technique of bending wood that has been developed by Thonet since the 19th Century.
The chair is really comfortable to seat on and would easily fit to modern or more traditional interior style.
Overall the chair is in great vintage condition with absolutely minimal wear and tear. The frame has been strengthened in a recent restoration and the original damaged fabric has been replaced by a new one. All the wooden parts have been hand finished by Shellac and Nitro varnishes in order to achieve an original gloss finish.
