Classic petite pair of Art Nouveau or Aesthetic Movement period bronze andirons or firedogs done in repoussee. I believe these to be bronze, they have a slight copper tone to them with heart motif or Anthurium leaf shape. Most likely purchased by previous owners while traveling Europe.
From the estate of Joan Conway Crancer, daughter of the famous St. Louis painter Fred Conway, and was a passionate art collector, included in her collection were Calder Sculptures, Max Beckman paintings and Roman antiques
