A charming Austrian cold painted bronze depicting three monkeys riding on the back of three running dogs in the manner of Franz Xaver Bergman (Austrian, 1861-1936) and dating from around 1900. The figure is well detailed and the pack of three running dogs are adjoined with one to the front and two behind, each has a monkey sitting on its back and looking sideways. The bronze is cole painted in bronze tones with grey and black with elements of red. There is no makers mark but one of the legs of the dogs is impressed GESCHUTZ.
A fine display piece in good condition.
