Yellow vintage Jugendstil Secession style patio armchair from rattan designed in the circle of Josef Hoffmann attributed to
Prag – Rudniker Korbwaren – Fabrikation and manufactured circa 1908 Vienna.
The beautiful cubus square shape with rhombic pattern on each side features rattan network and a wooden seat frame, which is also wrapped with rattan.
We love this chair for its extraordinary rattan network in a sunny yellow color tone.
Professionally restored and in very good condition with signs of age and use, like patina.

Prag – Rudniker Korbwaren – Fabrikation started 1877 in Gallicia. The main department was in Prag and routed 1910 to Vienna.
Prag – Rudniker had many establishments in Germany, France, U.K and USA.
In the first years Prag – Rudniker followed the famed English and American role models after then they decided to engage artists, who designed models for their company.
Artists, who also designed for Prag – Rudniker were Adolf Holub, Joseph Urban, Otto Prutscher, Hans Schmidt, Koloman Moser.
As well Hans Schmid as Hans Vollmer were students under Josef Hoffmann and guided
the company Prag – Rudniker.
Both designers brought the square and cubus shape into the wicker furniture design by
Prag – Rudniker Korbmöbelfabrikation.
